County begins 2021 budget discussions, HOT dates set

A Monday afternoon workshop session kicked off discussions for Franklin County’s 2021 budget, set a date for hearings and applying for Hotel Occupancy Tax fund applications.

County Judge Scott Lee asked that the various department heads trim what they could from their respective department budgets. He announced that he would like to see a two percent drop in general fund expenses over all. For more information, see the May 14 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald.
