Federal funding for health building still possible

The use of $400,000 to $600,000 in CARES Act grant funding to construct a health building to deal with the COVID-19 health disaster has been approved.

Franklin County Judge Scott Lee shared Tuesday that the Texas Division of Emergency Management had confirmed approval of the project. The persistence of Judge Lee and Emergency Management Coordinator Josh Daily, along with the intervention of State Representative Gary Vandeaver renewed talks.
