Straight-ticket rule challenged, voter registration deadline Monday

With early voting set to begin in less than two weeks and the voter registration deadline next week, Federal and State courts are tussling over straight-ticket voting.

The 2020 General Election ballot will combine City, County, District, State and National elections. The deadline to be registered in order to qualify to vote is Monday, October 5. Any changes to a voter’s existing registration should be made by the same date.
