Mount Vernon Optic-Herald

The Samson Solar Energy Center is currently under construction where Franklin, Lamar, and Red River counties intersect with a portion of the project being in each county.

This will be the largest solar energy generation facility in the United States when it is completed. The center will be constructed in five phases over the next three years, with each phase commencing operation upon completion.
