Law enforcement notes reduced incident reports during holiday

Both the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) and the Mount Vernon Police Department (MVPD) noted a reduced number of incidents reported during this past holiday week.

There were reports of two assaults, a reckless driver, and a shop lifter in possession of a controlled substance. See the December 31 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald for more information about these incidents.
