Contract notice issued, depot project deadlines unattainable

A notice of termination of the county’s contract with Phil Davila was ordered by the Franklin County Commissioners Court Monday, January 11.

Mr. Davila was engaged as a contract consultant for the Franklin County Container Depot project. “We ordered the notice since Phil’s services will no longer be needed,” said Franklin County Judge Scott Lee after the meeting. “It has become clear that the benchmarks set for the depot project are not attainable [by the deadlines set].” For the rest of this story, see the January 14 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald.
