MVISD employees of the month

Those honored were Beth Deal for elementary, Amanda Harper for middle school, Olivia Juarez for high school, and Linda Dean for auxiliary personnel Employees of the month were honored by members of the Mount Vernon ISD board of directors during their November meeting.

All-Region Jazz honors

Mount Vernon High School seniors Jerrod Pitts and Cole Burling have been named to the All-State Jazz BandMount Vernon High School seniors Jerrod Pitts and Cole Burling have been named to the All-State Jazz Band. It is the first time for MVHS to have two students to be selected in the same year.

Zane HollandMount Vernon High School’s Zane Holland was named to the TMEA All-Region Orchestra on oboe. He competed against 5A schools and placed second in the Area competition.
