All-Region Band

Funds reported missing from MVISD Band Booster account

An inconsistency in funds in the Band Boosters account was brought to the attention of Mount Vernon ISD Band Director Barry Tagg and then Superintendent Jason McCullough last week.

Mount Vernon Middle School One Act Play GroupFor the third year in a row, the Mount Vernon Middle School One Act Play won the District Championship at the competition Friday, December 6.

Student Christmas production set

Theatre students from Mount Vernon High School will present the play The Best Christmas Pageant Ever to the public at the district’s auditorium at 3 p.m. Sunday, December 15.

UIL releases conference cutoffs

School earns superior FIRST score, again

Members of the Mount Vernon ISD school board heard a report that the district earned 94 of the possible 100 points for a top rating under the Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas.

TEA requires needs assessment

The Texas Education Agency has required the Mount Vernon Elementary School to prepare a needs assessment after the campus scored a “D” on accountability ratings from the 2018-19 school year.
