Football district moves back to east in UIL realignement

The biennial realignment by the University Interscholastic League was announced Thursday, February 1, and Mount Vernon football opponents moved back to schools to the east.

Mount Vernon High School submitted a population count of 469 students in October 2017 on “snapshot” day. The number is up from the 448 reported two years prior. For a listing of schools that the Tigers will compete with in football, basketball, and volleyball, see the February 8 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald.
