School board awards door access control system contract

Members of the Mount Vernon ISD Board of Trustees awarded a $41,150 contract to KLC Video Security to replace the door access control system for the district.

“This system can be programmed to lock and unlock doors according to each campus bell schedule,” MVISD Police Officer Max Cannaday said. “I can also lock it down from my cell phone in case there is some type of emergency.”  For more about this and other action taken at the school board meeting, see the January 17 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald.
