Meal programs continue, cafeteria rates rise slightly

Mount Vernon ISD will participate in the free and reduced-price meals program again this year, and cafeteria rates have risen. Earlier this year, the MVISD school board approved the elementary campus joining the Community Eligibility Provision.

This Federal program will provide free breakfast and lunch to all fourth grade and younger students. For more information about meals at MVISD cafeterias, see the August 8 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald.
