Students at Mount Vernon Elementary School participated in the 10th annual Turkey Trot at Don Meredith Stadium on Friday, November 6.

PreKinder and Kinder ran 1/2 mile and first through fourth grades each ran one mile. The fastest boy and girl in each grade level won a frozen turkey for his/her family’s Thanksgiving meal. For a listing of winners in each age division, see the November 19 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald.
