Public Notice - City of Mount Vernon - ADVERTISEMENT AND INVITATION FOR BIDS - 10/03/2019

The City of Mount Vernon will receive bids for the Dallas Street Downtown Sidewalk Improvements, TCF Contract No. 7217212 until 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 18, 2019 at Mount Vernon City Hall, 109 N. Kaufman, Mount Vernon, TX 75457.

At the time stated, bids received will be publicly opened and read aloud.
Bids are invited for several items and quantities of work as follows:

1. Reconstruction of approximately 115 linear feet of concrete sidewalk, curb and gutter, street lighting, planter, ADA curb ramp and all other necessary appurtenances along Dallas Street.
Contract documents including bid proposal forms, plan sheets, and specifications for the Project may be viewed and downloaded free of charge (with the option to purchase hard copies) at www.civcastusa.com.  

Please submit questions for the project 72 hours prior to bid opening through www.civcastusa.com in the Q&A portal.

Addenda will be posted at www.civcastusa.com.  You will be notified of addenda automatically through email if you downloaded your plans and specification via civcast.com.

Attention is called to the fact that not less than, the federally determined prevailing (Davis-Bacon and Related Acts) wage rate, as issued by the Texas Department of Agriculture and contained in the contract documents, must be paid on this project. In addition, the successful bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex age or national origin.  

The City of Mount Vernon reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding.

Bids may be held by City of Mount Vernon for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder’s qualifications prior to the contract award.

All contractors/subcontractors that are debarred, suspended or otherwise excluded from or ineligible for participation on federal assistance programs may not undertake any activity in part or in full under this project.
