He is survived by a son, William Douglas Bush, and his wife, Cheryl, of Mount Vernon; a brother, Addie Gilbert Bush and his wife, Virina, of Gilmer; a grandson and two step-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the American Heart Association, the Northeast Texas Biker Church, or the charity of your choice.

#1 Condolences to the family of Doug BushDarlene Hirschhorn 2020-08-21 13:20
I knew Doug when we were in the 8-Teens together way back in high school. I had sought him out a couple of times for reunions but was never successful in finding him. I wanted him to know how much his friendship meant to me then and how much fun we had. (I must admit I probably had a little crush on him for a bit.) I hope he shared a little bit about that stage of his life with you. I'm sorry for your loss. It seems that he was a really compassionate person. You must be proud of his volunteer work. Wishing you peace and happiness. Darlene

I too, knew Doug when we were members of the 8-Teens back in the late 60's. Always fun loving, he brought a lot of laughter to our group. Have a few pix of him that to this day bring a smile to my face. Very sorry that we were not able to locate him for our reunions. He would have been welcomed with open arms. So sorry for your loss. I wish you all peace and the comfort of God's love. Carolyn
