2013 Dixie Softball World Series

The Franklin County Darlings competed at the World Series in Louisiana on Aug. 2-6. The team lost the first game of the series against Tennessee 23-3 on Saturday, Aug. 3.

They won their second game Georgia 19-14 on Sunday. They lost to Florida 8-6 on Monday, Aug. 5. Members of the team were as follows: starting above Dixie; Jerrilyn Hammonds, Sally Hamrick, Meagan Wardrup, Laney Jo Wright, Madalyn Wardrup, Alexa Taylor,  Lauren Anne Newsome, Myracle Dunlap, Camryn Duck, MyKeivia Stanton, Bailey Pender, and Elena Heukels. Coaches were Stephanie Wright, Stacie Wardrup, Scott Newsome, and Kelly Newsome.
