Meaka Johnson was set to complete in the Cross Country State competition Monday, November 23.Meaka Johnson was set to complete in the Cross Country State competition Monday, November 23.

The Mount Vernon High School freshman placed 14th at the regional meet Nov. 9 to earn the right to advance. Johnson finished at the State meet 59th out of 123 runners. Her time was 13:14.64, which was faster than her time at Regionals.
