Members of the Mount Vernon Power Lifting team include, front row left to right, Alonzo Torres, Vanessa Aguilar, Lauren Newsome, Mariska Debruijn, Heath Schlottman, back row, Forlan Ramos, Corbin Brantly, Brayden Skelton, Connor Pascarell, Quinton Johnson, Juan Ramos, Amber Burrow, Joel Martinez, and Coach Gregg Gamblin. Members of the team not shown are Blake Hollingsworth, Kenneth Schmidt, and Hailee Pingitore. Several Tiger and Lady Tiger power lifters from Mount Vernon High School have earned the right to advance to Regional meets.

The Lady Tigers’ meet will be Saturday, March 6 at Rice. The boy’s meet will be in Henderson on March 11. For results from several area meets conducted during February, see the March 4 edition of the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald.
